WOFM became Z-Rock, the cool hard rock network from ABC in the early 90s. Never heard the local WOFM, and I'm sure Z-Rock wasn't as cool, but if you had to cut costs and still wanted something out of the mainstream boredom, Z-Rock wasn't a bad choice. Of course, Z-Rock didn't last long on 92.1. And it was all downhill after that. Great story.
